With a November wedding in Syracuse, NY, you never know what kind of weather you’re going to get. It could be a monsoon, it could be a blizzard, and there’s more than a good chance it’ll be cloudy and dark. Stephanie and Dennis must have called in a favor to a higher power because their Wedding day was just perfect – it was sunny and clear, and just warm enough to be comfortable for outdoor photos.
The ceremony was at the beautiful St. Mary’s Church, in Baldwinsville, NY. The giant cathedral ceiling and the stained glass windows made a wonderful setting to get married. After a few quick pictures inside and out, we headed down the street to Mohegan Manor for the reception. Even though the grounds at Mohegan Manor are small, they provided many great locations for photographing the bride and groom. The sun was setting, and the light was warm and glowing.
Stephanie, Dennis, their families, and their friends had a blast the rest of the night eating, drinking, and dancing. They were even able to extend the party by an hour because they didn’t want it to end! By the time the music stopped, we felt like part of the family – we’re so thankful to have such wonderful clients and friends.
Ceremony: St. Mary’s Church
Reception: Mohegan Manor
Bride’s Dress: Spybaby Bridal
Hair and Makeup: Hair by Vincent
Cake: Patisserie
Floral Boquets: Greene Ivy Florist

Vincent used fresh flowers in Stephanie’s hair and it looked great.

Katherine caught this moment as Alexa tried to relieve Stephanie’s nerves just before the ceremony started.

I love this moment when Stephanie’s Grandfather gave her away as Dennis’ Mom looks on with happiness.

Look at the gorgeous ceiling in St. Mary’s Church. We almost needed a wider lens to take it all in.

The bridal party posing on the steps of the church.

Some shots from the bridal portrait session at Mohegan Manor before the reception.

Some of the details at the reception.

Dennis’ Dad, also the best man, gave a really funny toast that had everyone in the room laughing.

The wedding cake from Patisserie had fresh flowers on it, and in Italian wedding tradition, Dennis’ family provided home made Italian cookies on each table.

After dinner, the party moved to the top floor of Mohegan Manor where the dancing commenced. Stephanie and Dennis made a grand entrance during introductions. Eddy captured this nice shot of Dennis dancing with his Mom during the Mother/Groom dance.

Eddy grabbed this shot of Stephanie and her Grandfather dancing.

Stephanie and Dennis had a lot of fun dancing.

Exhausted at the end of the night, Stephanie took a minute to put her feet up and relax with her bridesmaids.

Congratulations Stephanie and Dennis and thank you so much for letting us be a part of your Wedding day. Your families are wonderful and really made us feel special and welcome. We really hope you enjoy all the photos.

Here are a few shots from a wedding we shot in Hartford, CT this past August. Small, simple and sweet. We had a great time shooting this one.
A few details…

The beautiful bride!

Followed by the handsome groom…

Marjorie, Johnny, we wish you the best in the years to come!

Thanks for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot senior portrait sessions for two of my cousins, Alexandra and Matt, upstate in Utica, NY. We spent about an hour in the morning driving around to various softball fields to get some shots of Alex in her softball uniform. In the afternoon we all met at Proctor Park to shoot some more. The pressure was on since I know I’ll be seeing a lot of these pictures around the houses of my various family members, but it was a fun session to shoot regardless.

Alex and her sister Jenna.

I took some shots of the whole family which will accompany their Holiday cards this year.

Matt was in a bit of a hurry to jump in the car and drive to Syracuse for an SU game, but we still managed to get in some good shots.

Thanks guys for a fun shoot, see you soon!

In the heat of summer, we sat on the back porch sipping iced tea, going over the details of their wedding – it was the first and only time we met Jesseca and Justin face to face before the big day. They laid out the timeline for the day, made their expectations clear, and told us when and where to be. Their quiet, calm demeanor in this first meeting did not prepare us for what was in store – Jesseca, Justin, their families, and their friends are the kind of people that know how to have a good time. From the moment we showed up at the hotel to shoot the girls getting ready, ’til the moment the last song ended, it was pure fun.
Both the ceremony and reception were at Dutchess Manor in Beacon, NY. It was an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Hudson River and the weather was beautiful. We all headed inside after the formals and bridal portraits, and watched the sunset over the river as Jesseca, Justin, and their guests partied the night away. The two DJs from Dance Time DJ really got into the party and kept the music pumping until the very end. The number of awesome dance shots we captured is a testament to how much fun they all had.

Hair and Makeup: Dazzles Hair Salon
Floral Boquets: Flowers by Reni

The dress and floral arrangements were beautiful…

… and so was the bride.

There’s no substitute for capturing true happiness in a photograph.

Bride and bridesmaids.

Jesseca with Mom and Dad – they all have wonderful eyes.

I love this shot of Jesseca’s mom getting her camera ready in anticipation of Jesseca and her dad walking down the aisle.

The flower petals in the aisle were a nice touch – much more practical for an outdoor wedding than a standard runner.

Eddy came up with the idea to do a 1900’s style wedding pose, so we edited it in a style that was consistent.

Justin looking good.

Jesseca and Justin’s first dance.

I captured this shot of the father/daughter dance as the warm sun was setting over the west bank of the river.

I wasn’t kidding when I said they partied the night away. When people are having fun, it makes our job so much easier.

Jesseca and Justin, it was a pleasure to photograph your wedding. We hope you enjoy the photos, and thank you for letting us be such a big part of your day and making us feel like part of the family.

A couple of weeks ago we went with some friends to Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY for their Oktoberfest celebration. The lift was running so we were able to head up to the top of the mountain and take in the beginning of the fall foliage season. There was actually a wedding ceremony taking place and the guests were coming down the mountain as we were going up. We got to the top just as the photographer was finishing the bridal portraits. All I can say is wow – what anĀ amazing place to get married.
Can you imagine saying your “I do’s” with this as your backdrop?

They hadn’t taken down the wedding decorations and we used the opportunity to snap some portraits of Amanda and Mike.

There was a nice mix of green, orange, red, and yellow in the trees, and the clouds created some big shadows on the countryside below.
