Portraits | Kevin

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Most people lead busy lives – with work, family, school, and hobbies, there’s hardly time to sleep these days. They certainly don’t take the time to have professional photos taken for themselves. Whether it’s for their loved ones or simply for their Facebook profile, photos like these can be important for documenting and remembering your life. Kevin and I met for a quick 45 minute session after work and this was the result. Hope you had fun and enjoy the photos, Kevin.

Senior Portraits | Alexandra and Matt

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot senior portrait sessions for two of my cousins, Alexandra and Matt, upstate in Utica, NY. We spent about an hour in the morning driving around to various softball fields to get some shots of Alex in her softball uniform. In the afternoon we all met at Proctor Park to shoot some more. The pressure was on since I know I’ll be seeing a lot of these pictures around the houses of my various family members, but it was a fun session to shoot regardless.

Matt was in a bit of a hurry to jump in the car and drive to Syracuse for an SU game, but we still managed to get in some good shots.

Miscellaneous | Hunter Mountain

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

A couple of weeks ago we went with some friends to Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY for their Oktoberfest celebration. The lift was running so we were able to head up to the top of the mountain and take in the beginning of the fall foliage season. There was actually a wedding ceremony taking place and the guests were coming down the mountain as we were going up. We got to the top just as the photographer was finishing the bridal portraits. All I can say is wow – what anĀ amazing place to get married.

Can you imagine saying your “I do’s” with this as your backdrop?

They hadn’t taken down the wedding decorations and we used the opportunity to snap some portraits of Amanda and Mike.

There was a nice mix of green, orange, red, and yellow in the trees, and the clouds created some big shadows on the countryside below.

Portraits | Sarah Sofia Newborn

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

A few weeks ago we did a maternity session for Heidi and Mike, you can see the photos here. On August 14th, Sarah Sofia was finally born and welcomed into the world. This past weekend we did a 1-week newborn session with Sarah, Heidi, and Mike – she’s such an adorable baby, congratulations Heidi and Mike!

Daddy’s little princess, after just one week she’s already got him wrapped around her finger.

*Yawn* I must have been boring her. She was getting a little sleepy after an hour of shooting and being swaddled in her blanket. Heidi and Mike call her “baby burrito”.

Portraits | Tsfasman Family

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Two Sundays ago I spent an hour at the Poughkeepsie Waterfront shooting the Tsfasman famly – mom, dad, and 2 adorable kids. It was a beautiful night and there were tons of people hanging out down by the river, but we were still able to find some good quiet spots. Thanks for a great session, and I hope you enjoy the photos.

The girls…

… and the boys.

Gary is such a great brother. He loves his sister Oriana very much and takes excellent care of her.

Portraits | Heidi and Mike Maternity

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Heidi and Mike are due at the beginning of August and I wanted to do both a Maternity and Newborn session to capture the couple’s happiness before and after the baby arrives. Their home and their hearts are ready to accept this new life, and they will make wonderful parents.

We started in the Baby’s new bedroom with some casual portraits and then moved to the garden in the back yard. We finished the evening at a local park just as the sun was setting behind the trees. It was a really nice session and I can’t wait to photograph the baby in a couple of weeks. Thanks guys for giving me the opportunity to share in your happiness.

Their dog Oscar did not want to be left out. He’s so cute.
