Wedding | Maritza and Erwin Preview

August 16th, 2010 by Eddy

Last September, we began our photographic relationship with Maritza and Erwin during our engagement shoot in Central Park, New York, NY. Last Sunday, they were married at the Woodbury Country Club in Long Island, NY. It was an amazing wedding and Maritza and Erwin couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Here is a preview shot from the wedding day.

Wedding | Natasha and Andrew

August 16th, 2010 by Eddy

On July 17th, 2010, Natasha and Andrew took the steps to begin their life together as one. It was a hot summer day at the Tashua Knolls Country Club in Trumbull, CT and everything went smoothly. Nick had to bow out of this one because his baby girl was making her big entrance into the world so I shot this one solo.

Here are a few shots from the day:

Portraits | ChiWei and Drew Maternity

July 31st, 2010 by Nick

ChiWei and Drew got married at Locust Grove, so this is a place that’s very special to them. It’s no surprise that they wanted to meet there for a maternity session to celebrate the anticipation of their first child. There was a private party going on, but that didn’t stop us from capturing a few special moments on the grounds. Congratulations ChiWei and Drew! We can’t wait to photograph your newborn in a few weeks.

Wedding | Karen and David

July 10th, 2010 by Nick

Karen and David are two of the most laid back, relaxed people I’ve ever met, which made for an easy, fun day of shooting. Their wedding plans were simple and straightforward – it was a small wedding and they did everything with their own unique twist. Since it was a small wedding and there was no dance floor at the reception hall, Eddy got the day off and I shot this one solo. Thanks for letting me document your wedding Karen and David, we hope you love the photos.

Ceremony: Martha-Mary Chapel at The Wayside Inn, Sudbury, MA

Karen’s jewelry was provided by JoyDen Jewelers and it was perfect.

Karen and her family are originally from England, and clearly David has a love for all things British. Karen took a few moments to have some photos taken with David’s beautiful Triumph TR6.

The rain wasn’t slowing down Karen at all. She’s so thoughtful that she bought a clear umbrella so as not to block too much light. I was very appreciative.

The ring bearer looked great in his tiny tuxedo.

David waited patiently in the rain at the back of the church for Karen to arrive.

The rain prevented us from taking too many photos outside, so we spent a few minutes after the ceremony in the chapel for the bridal portraits.

We did manage to get a few quick shots outside the chapel.

A horse and carriage was Karen’s mode of transportation between the Wayside Inn and the chapel.

The Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA is America’s oldest operating Inn, providing food and lodging for travelers since 1716. It’s rooms are unique and full of historic charm, and provided a great backdrop for some more bridal portraits.

The Best Man’s toast was short and sweet.

Then Karen’s father gave a great toast, which was more like a roast of his daughter. He had the whole room in stitches.

Even though the wedding was small, there wasn’t room in the reception hall for a dance floor. This was ok by Karen and David because they didn’t plan on dancing. Instead, they hired 3 amazing guitar players to provide a musical backdrop for the evening.

Toward the end of the night, it turned into a sing-along. Karen, David, their families, and their friends sat around the guitar players singing loudly. The musicians even started taking requests.

Karen’s father was one of the lead vocalists and is quite the character.

Wedding | Nicole and James

June 17th, 2010 by Nick

A year ago April, we signed up to be exhibitors at our first bridal expo. As we prepared our sample material, we were so excited about the prospect of talking to so many potential clients. The turnout at the show wasn’t all that great – we only spoke with a few couples that day – but it must’ve been fate that brought Nicole and James over to talk with us that day. I remember thinking to myself “I hope we hear back from them” as they walked away.

Well, a few weeks later we got an e-mail from Nicole requesting a meeting to discuss pricing and availability. And the rest, as they say, is history.

We had a blast photographing Nicole and James’ Engagement Session at Benmarl Winery last fall. After that session, we could hardly wait for their wedding to come. The wedding was everything we expected – fun, family, excitement, adventure, and emotion. Nicole and James, we hope that we were able to capture it all so that you can remember it forever. Thanks for being such big fans of our work, and we wish you nothing but happiness.

James prepared a photo slideshow of images from their childhood through present time. It was a surprise for Nicole and all the guests, and I think from the reactions in this photo you can tell everyone really enjoyed it. We were honored that James used so many of the photos from our engagement session in the slideshow.
