Why don't you offer any packages?

We don't offer packages because we want to give the client as much flexibility as possible when choosing what services they require for their event. Also, the price of an album can vary widely based on the dimensions, numbers of pages, and customization, so we like to price them as needed based on the client's wishes and budget.

Do you shoot film or digital?

As of right now, we shoot exclusively digital. This allows us the most flexibility and fastest turn around time for our events.

How many images can I expect to receive?

For a typical full day event, you can expect to receive approximately 400 images.

Why does it cost so much just for you to show up?

In our experience, a full day event is usually 10 or more hours of work on the day of the event. Add to that approximately two hours of post production for every hour spent shooting, and a whole event can easily be over 30 hours of work.

What's involved in post production?

Post production is the process where we take good images and make them great. After an event, we download all of the images from our memory cards onto the computer and into an image cataloging program - with two photographers each carying two cameras, this will be 3000 or more images. Then begins the process of sorting through the images and choosing the best ones for editing. Each selected image will undergo color correction and basic processing, and the top images will receive full retouching. You can expect your images to be ready for proofing approximately 4-6 weeks after your event.

What about the high-resolution digital files?

We do offer the option to purchase a DVD with the high-resolution digital photographs on it. You receive the right to print your own images, but the copyright remains with Candeo Photo. Simply put, you can make prints, but you are prohibited from submitting the photos to any publications (newspaper, magazine, etc.), or uploading the images to any internet forums or online photo galleries. For re-prints we strongly suggest using a professional lab to get the best quality prints.

What does Candeo mean?

Candeo is from Latin and means "to shine" or "to shine bright white".
